Midtown Miami is being heralded as the first city-within-a-city in Miami. It is located on 56 acres just south of the Miami Design District and north of the Performing Arts District. The massive $1.2 billion mixed-use project will include 3,000 condo and loft units, 900 apartment rental units, a hotel, 100,000 square feet of office space, and 600,000 square feet of retail space. Its unique live/work zoning will allow you to live and work on different floors of the same building. The development will also include 2,900 parking spaces and a public plaza on Midtown Boulevard, the main thoroughfare of the project.
Midtown Miami will be home to 'The Shops at Midtown Miami', the first and only retail shopping experience of its kind in the city of Miami. Opening in summer 2006, The Shops at Midtown Miami is destined to become the premier shopping location for the city of Miami. The 26 acre, 600,000 square feet open air mall will become the closest and most accessible retail center anchored by major national retailers for Miami Beach, downtown Miami, and the Brickell area.
Residential units will be adorned with cobblestone streets and interspersed with street level cafes, shops, sidewalks and benches. This enormous project will transform the neighborhood into a vibrant urban center and is destined to become one of the most dynamic new
residential and retail locations in South Florida.
The first phase will consist of a a 336-unit building called 3541 featuring contemporary styling with three different height elevations --an 8-story mews, a 10-story mid-rise, and a 28-story tower--, a hidden garage, and ground-floor retail.
